Advertising production is the main focus of Verite Producciones. Any equipment not available in Panama is very easy to import, if necessary.

Good news for the advertising production community and to those in need of Production Services in Panama. Panamanian legislators approved a new set of laws governing the film industry. Known as Ley 36, this law package offers a group of incentives and sets the "rules of the game" for this important industry, including advertising production and Production Services. Now, for advertising production and other audio and video related projects, everything, from location permits to work permits for visiting personnel is simplified and streamlined by our Production Services staff. There is a positive disposition towards advertising production and on the part of the people of Panama and the authorities, and our Production Services managing staff has a wide range of experience in securing all the necessary documentation.

  High Definition Sony F900R/P+S Technik Pro35

Verite Producciones's Sony High Definition F900R/P+S Technik Pro35 is here.  We have moved into the HD world with the introduction to the Panama market of the Sony HDW-F900R Camcorder. This revolutionary CineAlta camcorder captures images with a sampling structure of 1920 x 1080 (horizontal x vertical) active pixels (vs the traditional 640x486 of SD). Besides recording at 24P, the Sony HDW-F900R camcorder can capture images at 25P and 29.97P progressive scan or at 50 or 59.94 hz interlaced scan. A range of features to enhance creative shooting such as enhanced gamma features and colorimetry controls is also included in this camcorder. Regarding the all-important optics, Verite Producciones has integrated to its F900R the P+S Technic Pro35 converter which allows for the usage of a wide array of 35mm lenses. Our High Definition F900R/P+S Technik Pro35 camera package includes picture cache board, the 2-3 pull down and down converter board as well as the slow shutter board. All of these functions and extras make the High Definition F900R/P+S Technik Pro35 camera package the ideal tool for the production of television commercials and documentaries as well as motion pictures.

The capacity of the HDCAM format to work at 24 progressive frames approximates the digital image to the photochemical world and offers creative flexibility for television production, advertising and long format productions. Traditional film cameras expose a sequence of images (usually at a rate of 24 frames per second), which, when projected, reproduce naturally moving images. Because of the time it takes for the camera to transport the film from one frame to the next, half the action is lost, a function that gives the image a characteristic look. On the other hand, many digital cameras record interlaced images in which two temporarily displaced fields are used to generate one complete frame. With this technique, a smoother movement is obtained than that which is obtained from film at lower frame rates. When the F900R is adjusted to shoot at a frame rate of 24p and a shutter speed of 1/48th, it captures moving images in the exact same manner that a film camera does, and the results are similar to those obtained by a film camera “look”.  On the other hand, many digital cameras record interlaced images in which two temporarily displaced fields are used to generate one complete frame. With this technique, a smoother movement is obtained than that which is obtained from film at lower frame rates. When the F900R is adjusted to shoot at a frame rate of 24p and a shutter speed of 1/48th, it captures moving images in the exact same manner that a film camera does, and the results are similar to those obtained by a film camera. Red One With Unique 12 Megapixel CMOS Chip Is At Verite

Red OneThe Red One is an  ingenious camera with  an image capture system  based on a unique 12 megapixel CMOS chip (4520×2540 pixels), 4k resolution (from 1 to 120 fps), 12 bits per color.  The Red One  has the same sensor  size as the super 35mm frame. Thanks to this and the fact that the Red One uses the same PL mount lenses that 35mm cine does, one of the most elusive qualities of High Definition videography is attained: the same depth of field of film. Just as in film, the real resolution of the sensor is 4.5k, giving the operator an additional area around the image, a reserve, to keep him aware of what is coming into frame.

Red One Sensitivity

The Red One has a native sensitivity of 320 ASA with 11 stops of exposure latitute (5 up and 5 down). Nonetheless, sensitivity can be adjusted up to 2000 ASA. This technology is a true Red one technological breakthrough, as HD cameras are notorious for having problems with the highlights and over exposed whites.

Workflow: To begin with, the camera records data on Compact Flash cards (highspeed cards), but it also allows the usage of specially designed hard disk arrays.  The codec utilized (Redcode)  is propietary of RED.  Verite Producciones now makes available a complete RED ONE package that includes camera with EVF, on board monitor, field monitor, four (4) CF cards, four (4) batteries, charger, RED prime lenses and 10:1 Cooke lens, follow focus, matte box, Microforce zoom control with Preston Cinema motors, Macbook laptop with  CF reader, Lacie external drives for field discharge and an LTO long term storage system. The Red One is now featured at Verite Producciones.
